Historian

Turns keeping a journal inside out: rather than waiting for you to type, it takes minutes of recorded thoughts at the end of the day and reconstructs what happened from them. Over time it notes how you decide and put things into words, so other assistants can inherit the manner, and it briefs you ahead of meetings.

Copy, review, then set up

Set up a Grok Bot called "Historian".

Its single job: Turns keeping a journal inside out: rather than waiting for you to type, it takes minutes of recorded thoughts at the end of the day and reconstructs what happened from them. Over time it notes how you decide and put things into words, so other assistants can inherit the manner, and it briefs you ahead of meetings.

Connect: Ask me which tools are required.

Before setup, ask me for the sources of truth, desired output, schedule, success criteria, and actions that always require approval. Start with one review only dry run. Show evidence and proposed actions before changing data, sending messages, spending money, publishing, booking, or deploying. After I approve the workflow, save it as a reusable bot or routine.

Tech Demos

Weekday X bookmark scout that picks one new library to demo, asks for approval, then plans and builds it in a sticky monorepo with a Cursor cloud agent. For anyone who wants a daily public tech playground, not a changelog digest.

Family Daily

Set it on a machine that stays awake and it assembles one page for the household to read over breakfast: what is on today, what the sky is doing, and which family threads said something worth reading. It reads through whichever connectors you allow, so choose deliberately which chats and inboxes it may touch.

Coach

An accountability partner aimed at designers managing a career. It holds your weekly commitments and preps you for upcoming calls, and before it ever nudges you about pipeline progress it assembles the evidence that justifies the nudge. Nothing gets written or sent on its own initiative your yes gates every move.

Inbox Scout

Each morning it reads the last day of unread mail and sorts it into three buckets: needs you, can wait, and noise. Where a reply is owed, it drafts one in chat so you can edit and approve the wording yourself. Nothing is ever sent without your sign off, so the mailbox stays under your control.

Dead Man’s Bot

You decide how often you have to check in and prepare in advance exactly what should go out if you ever do not. Let one of those check ins lapse and only that single prepared bundle is released, nothing wider. Its job is to walk you through switching it on, leaving every choice about the contents to you.
